Overview

Bill Beacon is designed to help you track recurring bills and payment reminders. The app is built to store the information you enter so it can show your bills, payment history, reminders, and related settings inside the app.

This privacy policy explains what information the app may store, how it may be used, and what choices you have.

Information stored in the app

Bill Beacon may store information such as:

• bill names
• account or provider names
• amounts
• due dates
• repeat frequency and schedule rules
• notes you enter
• paid, skipped, and overdue status information
• notification preferences and reminder settings
• imported or exported bill data files that you choose to use with the app

How your data is used

The data stored by Bill Beacon is used only to provide the app's core features, for example:

• showing your current and future bills
• marking bills as paid or unpaid
• showing overdue and due-soon items
• displaying calendar entries
• creating reminders and notifications
• supporting import and export features
• keeping app settings and preferences consistent

Where your data is stored

Your Bill Beacon data is primarily stored on your device.

If sync is enabled, the app may also use Apple's iCloud or CloudKit services to keep your data available across your own Apple devices using the same Apple account.

The app developer does not need your online banking login details to make the app work.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Bill Beacon may create local reminders on your device based on your bill dates and your selected warning settings.

These reminders may include useful bill-related information such as a bill name, account name, or amount so the notification makes sense when you see it.

Import and export

If you choose to import data, the app reads the file you selected.

If you choose to export data, the app creates a file containing the bill information included in that export.

You control these actions manually. The app does not automatically send exported files anywhere unless you choose to share them yourself.

What Bill Beacon does not do

• It does not sell your personal data.
• It does not require your banking login credentials.
• It does not automatically publish your bill information publicly.
• It does not upload your bill data to a separate developer-run server unless this changes in a future version and this policy is updated.

Your choices

• You can stop using the app at any time.
• You can delete or edit bill data inside the app.
• You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings.
• You can decide whether to use iCloud sync, if available.
• You can choose whether to import, export, or share files created by the app.

Policy changes

If Bill Beacon changes in a way that affects how data is handled, this privacy policy may be updated to reflect those changes.
